Back when I graduated from college, I had huge dreams—the kind that make people raise an eyebrow or two.
I was caught between getting my PhD in Palaeoanthropology, joining the Peace Corps to work abroad, or heading to South Africa to become a safari guide.
But when it was time to make a move, fear and self-doubt took the wheel. I hesitated, unsure I had the courage to leap into the unknown.
So, I played it safe and took a museum job back in my hometown. I spent five years going through the motions of a “normal” life.
During that time, my health took a hit—weight issues, digestive problems, and psoriasis. My life felt stuck, like I was going through the motions without any real direction or purpose.
Then I stumbled upon holistic healing and functional medicine—and everything changed.
I went from stuck, frustrated, and battling symptoms to energized, empowered, and symptom-free.
I turned my life around—and in less than a year, I was off to South Africa to live my dream.
All because I finally stopped ignoring my own truth.
